I would like to say that Joe was such an awesome person that was always respectful and caring. I know you are hurting more than the eye can see and nothing I can say will take that pain away. Losing someone with so much life ahead of them is beyond comprehension. I wonder what could be said to put this in perspective and found that twenty years is not a long time but coming from someone who has seen some of the most horrific criminal acts that can't be understood by someone of normal sanity. Imagine never having him bless this world with his strength and honor. His twenty years touched so many that those acts of kindness and mentorship filled a void created by immoral men. I find comfort in the fact that Joe blessed this Earth with his acts of kindness. Law enforcement is a tough profession but I see Joe as an ally because he was a beacon of light that touched so many in our community and beyond. In a world with so much hatred he was that hope that would keep me going in my profession by showing me that there is hope for humanity. He understood at such a young age what I learned much later than he did, that is that it is not about saving the world but saving us all one person at a time. If we all focused on making a difference in one person life, imagine if everyone else did the same. Knowing that our future was in his hands, brought peace to my soul that our future would be secured for our lifetime. Even though he is gone, my faith does not waiver because his strength will be carried by others to impact this world as Joe did. Remember that this is not goodbye, for all of us are reunited with our loved ones after our time on Earth. Love Johnny Salazar and Family.

 We're sorry we didnt get to know you. From what we do know, you Had the opportunity  to fall in love, graduated H.S., you had a daughter, family & friends who loved you, and soon to start a great new job! Some men can live their whole lives and not experience what you have had and will forever have in your short time with us. You will never be forgotten. Life always finds a way. May your daughter be blessed and have a long and prosperous life. And may your friends and family see you in her and give them comfort and peace till God calls upon them.

Joe the loss I feel is  something I can't put into words. The sadness of knowing I'll never see my cousin again is heartbreaking. But I know The Lord had a special plan for you when he called you to be with him. Love you cuz see again someday.

We are so sorry for your loss, even though we never got the pleasure of knowing your son personally I'm sure he was a wonderful young man because you and Steve are also wonderful people. May God be by your side as well as your families side during this difficult time.

Joe became a part of our lives through his friendship with our son Brett. Joe was a polite, respectful, intelligent, caring person, an absolute great kid! Joe, Brett, Joby, Tyler, Freddy and others would hunt behind our house, horse around like boys do, and you could see the special bond of brotherhood they had. They even included my daughter Brandy in some of their hunting and fishing adventures. Joe became like one of our own, often spending nights on our living room couch after hunting, along with several other kids. It's so rare to find such a high quality person like Joe, and we are blessed to have known him. I call him a kid because I'm so much older, but Joe was a 20 year old young man, an all state football player, and a power lifting champion. Yet he would look like a little kid when my daughter would get after him for beating her in a video game. I think he let her win sometimes. We miss Joe a lot, and I can see it in the faces of his brothers. To the Aguero family, I know this is an unbelievabley tough time, but one day you will see Joe again. God Bless you all.

My heat goes out to the Aguero family.  Joe was a very kind, friendly,  and amazing person and its sad to say he left all of our lives so abruptly. And even more so he left his daughter too soon. It's still ok though because with all the friends Joe had, they will all have plenty of stories to tell her and let her know how wonderful and great her father was.

I was extremely lucky to have had this young boy cross my path in my teaching career, not just once, but twice and I LOVED everyday he walked into my room. He was such an amazing young boy, from helping me or anyone at any given moment to befriending any student that was new to the classroom. Over the years, I became prouder & prouder of this young man that had become a genuine, loving, kindhearted individual. 
I see the many people that were also as fortunate as me to have met Joe and have had him in our lives. 
Heaven has gained another tremendous, kind hearted soul. 
No words can ever take this sickening pain that your experiencing, but know that Joe was such a special person, not just to me, but too many.
