Joe "Rocky" La Rocca, age 74, born in Passaic, NJ, moved to San Antonio in the early 1940's, was a '45 graduate of Central Catholic High School. He served as a Seabee in the U.S. Navy at the end of World War II. Mr. La Rocca was a brick mason contractor in San Antonio and owner of a building and remodeling company. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosalie Macaluso La Rocca in 1973; and stepson, William Spellman in 1984. He is survived by his daughters, Ginese and Dina La Rocca, both of San Antonio; stepdaughter, Madeline Byrom and husband Charles of Bogaluso, LA; grandson, Richard Joseph Clarkson and wife Jennifer; granddaughters, Donella and Dominique Rodriguez, both of San Antonio; and great granddaughter, Kirah Nicole Clarkson. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1599 Clifton Road, N.E., Atlanta, GA 30329.
