
Dear Dad (in-law),

I wanted to say, “thank you” for having welcomed me with open arms into your family since day one when I asked for your daughter; Janie hand in marriage.

I will miss the times we went on fishing trips to Padre Island, the camping trips to Garner State Park, the visits to San Juan and of course the fatherly advice you had provided throughout the years. 

So many great memories, I can’t believe they have ended. 

You were not only a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather but a devoted man who I greatly admired and respected. You were truly my role model.

and our family when we talk or pray for you.

when we heard of you passing away.

Dear Grandpa,

As you know my sister and I have traveled the world with our parents from the Far East to the Wild West.

However, in all our travels, the one thing we knew would always be there as our True North was the House of Love You and Grandma provided.  

Now that you are gone, it is time for your journey to begin but fear not as the love we share can cross space and time. 

So until we all meet again, you will always be in our hearts and we will not forget the special times we shared… with your jokingly  “who are you” greetings, when we were finally old enough to sit across from you at the game table and of course the precious family holidays.   

Mom likes to call our kids Sunshine, Star and Mi Luz… which are all beings of light… and those lights will forever grow bright from the light you have passed down.

We miss you Grandpa, tell Grandma “Hi” for us and give her our love.

Joe is survived by his children, Ramon Contreras and wife Helen Zigmond, Janie and husband Gilbert Ochoa, Sally and husband Rudy Rocha, Joe and wife Theresa Morin; 9 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Mr. Morin is preceded in death by his Loving wife, Celerina Morin; sons, Guadalupe Contreras and Jose Angel Contreras.
