Joe Maurice Resendez

Joe is preceded in death by his father, Pete Resendez and mother Irene Jacques.

He was survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Loretta Resendez; children, Katherine Rodriguez and her husband Richard; Genevieve Finn and her husband Ray; and grandchildren, Jordan Shows, Adam Rodriguez, Madeline Rodriguez and Jessica Shows.

Joe was a loving husband, father and grandfather and proud American. Joe served his country honorably as a Boatswain’s Mate in the US Navy during the Vietnam war. Joe served on the historic ship U.S.S. Rainier, where he earned a National Defense Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. Joe was a talented draftsman and estimator during his career, contributing to the architecture of many jails and commercial buildings throughout the United States. Joe enjoyed sharing his interest in cars with his family and he loved supporting his grandchildren at sporting events. Joe was a kind and gentle family man who will be greatly missed.
