Joe Jesse Sierra

Joe Jesse Sierra entered enteral rest on June 25, 2015 at the age of 75. He was born to Jose R and Celia Sierra on July 6, 1939 in St. John’s Michigan. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, daughters; Henrietta Mead and Rachel Barron, granddaughter; Dyshauna Sierra Cox. He is survived by wife Carolina “Caro” Sierra, daughters; Margaret “Mija” Cisneros, and Edna “Baby” Sierra, grandchildren; Tiffany “Ms. Tif” Cisneros, Crystal “Ms. Crystal” Barron, Peter “PB” Mery, Vanessa “Nessy” Barron, Ryan “Mr. Ryan” Mead, Alex “Mr. Alex” Vega, Tyler “Mr.T” Mead, Andrea “Baby” Vega, great grandchildren Mikayla Sierra, Mia Albert, Jasmine Cisneros, Alyson Gonzales, Elizabeth Cox, brothers; Gilbert, Junior, John, Raymond, sister Sylvia Rivera. Dad was a man who loved life and lived his life without hesitation or reservation. He made the best of everyday the Lord gave us and encouraged us to do the same. His clever wit was one of a kind as were his many rules and we loved him more for them. He was always willing to provide us with guidance and of course his choice words. His love for his family remained unconditional. He shared his love for life with his beautiful wife Carrie, his boys JJ and FiFi. Though he was a father to four girls, he was a father figure to many who loved and respected him. He was also an avid fisherman, a great cook; a great listener, who was family orientated. Dad “Chuy” will be truly missed.

A visitation will be held on Monday, June 29, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. with a holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at St. Luke’s Catholic Church, 4603 Manitou Dr. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at 9:45 a.m. at St. Luke’s Catholic Church with interment to follow at San Jose Burial Park.
