Joel William Anderson Jr., affectionately known as Bud, peacefully passed away at his home on Sunday, December 14, 2025. He was born on October 13, 1942, along with his twin sister, Joy, in St. Mary Parish, Louisiana to Joel W. and Gladys Hart Anderson. Bud married Nancy Stone on December 24, 1990, in Washington, D.C.
Bud honorably served with the U.S. Navy from November 2, 1959, to October of 1963, and continued his service with the U.S. Navy Reserves until 1965. He lived in Louisiana for much of his life, where he founded a heating and cooling company. Later, Bud moved to Northwest Arkansas, where he opened and operated the Bud Anderson Heating & Cooling Company until his retirement in January 2004.
After retiring, Bud enjoyed living in San Antonio, Texas, where he cherished spending time with family and friends. He had a passion for camping and traveling.
Bud is survived by his devoted wife, four step-children, five step-grandsons, and two great step-granddaughters. There will not be a formal funeral for Bud; however, a Celebration of Life will be held at Crossbridge Community Church in the near future.
