I think the last time I saw John was 1974. He was a good, kind man. I saw more of Leona and always heard about how he was doing. From what I knew, you were blessed to have him in your lives.

Mrs. Bula, We are so sorry to hear of your loss, But the memories are long and happy. Stopping by the Bula's at Christmas time was my favorite. To hear John say come on in and do you need a beer? John Bula was always more than a father-in-law. He was a friend, a gambling buddy & our toastmaster. 
 Having been raised by 2 loving parents, similar to the Bula's, I was surprised to find that his added take on life was something that I was missing. 
 I was taught all of the right things & learned that a loving family, hard work & giving thanks to God is the backbone of life. But John Bula taught me the value of socialization. To visit and communicate with family, as friends, he opened up an added dimension of love for his family. That lesson will always be a source of inspiration & something that I plan to share & pass on to my own family & friends. 
 Thanks, Johnnie B., I will miss our weekly bets and the loss of my dollars to you on anything & everthing that there was to bet on. But mostly, I will miss YOU.
