

He was the son of Mary Alma and Charles Burnett and was born in San Antonio, Texas. He is survived by his wife of 70 years Charlotte Schreiber Burnett; daughter Diane Burnett Thomas and husband Kurt. As well as his granddaughter Staci Pollock, husband Matt and great grandson Mathew Edward Pollock of Dallas and grandson John Burnett Thomas of Cypress, Texas and his wife Kylie. A day never passed without him expressing his love to his family.
Johnny enlisted in the Navy during World War II and proudly severed in the Philippines. After the war he returned to his native San Antonio and worked at the Harvey Bowman company and Perry Shankle in sporting goods. He spent more than 25 years working at Pearl Brewing Co. in many jobs, but his favorite was in Public Relations.
He was an avid outdoorsman with a passion for fishing and hunting. He was involved in many related clubs, locally and at the state level, as well as being a Master Mason. Johnny never met a stranger and was overwhelmingly generous to everyone he met.
A memorial service will be held at Sunset Memorial Park at 1:00 on April 12 at 1701 Austin Highway.
