Dear John, hug daddy's neck for me. I am sure you are as happy to see him, as he was to see you standing there waiting for him. I rejoice in knowing that the two of you are celebrating your lives with a cold one or two!!

I remember John in my l952 graduating class at Wichita Falls High School as being a very nice person. My heartfelt prayers to all of his family.

I have many fond memories of the twelve years we shared together from Ben Franklin to Zundy to WFSH. Most of our time outside of school was spendt with our many friends living on Victory, Ardath and Dayton. Our visits every five years at Class Reunions also produced lasting memories. God Bless John, Dell and all the family.

When I first met John, he immediately became someone I would never forget. On some days, I hated him, often when he was right and I was wrong but I have always loved him. A sure bet for a Readers Digest "Most Unforgetable Character".

It was a sad day for me when I received word my classmate, John Cupid, had passed away. I remembered his smile and warm personality, but most of all I remember the great football games we had in gym at WFSH. John was a competitor and he gave it all when he played. This attitude and determination proved proved invaluable to his life's work. John we will miss you. You and Dell were a great pair and our hearts go out to her, your kids and your extended family. May the Lord bless each of them and draw them close and comfort them. I would like to be on your team when we line up in heaven.
