John L. Dodd

He was a 1969 graduate of the University of Texas at Austin Pharmacy School. John owned several pharmacies to include Olmos Pharmacy in San Antonio, John Dodd Pharmacy in Port Lavaca, and MD Pharmacies in Austin. He served as mayor of Port Lavaca and was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jeanne Dodd; son, John Dodd and wife Sandra of Austin; son, Chris Dodd of Austin; daughter, Regina Grant and husband Neil of San Antonio; daughter, Maria Mock and husband J.C. of Washington, DC; daughter, Michelle Kruse of San Antonio; son, Phillip Dodd and wife Julie of Keller and 16 grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, July 29, 2012, at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
