He was preceded in death by his parents, John J. Giorda, Jr. and Olivia Cristofoletti Giorda; brothers, Tommy and Clarence Giorda.
John is survived by his sister, Sally Logan and husband, Robert "Bud"; dear friends, Betty Lou Schroeder and Duane Kornegay; nephews, David and Patrick Giorda, Eddie and Dale Hollon; two loving dogs, Eddie and Winston.
He worked for the postal service for over 30 years and enjoyed traveling on his Hawaiian cruises and abroad the Europe Caribbean. John's favorite times were spending it with his family, reading, working in the yard, and playing with his dogs.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2011, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Porter Loring on McCullough Ave.
