John Michael Guynes, age 81, of San Antonio, died Monday, September 16, 2013.
Mike was a graduate of UTSA. He worked as a registered nurse for over 35 years, and a supervisor for 20 years.
Mike was a member of the Sons of the Republic of Texas, Sons of Confederate Veterans and San Jacinto Descendants. He was an avid pet lover.
He is survived by his sister, Joanne Hillestad and her husband, Pete; brother, Dr. William Allison Guynes and his wife, Catherine; and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The Incarnate Word Village.
