John R. Koch

John grew up and went to school in Lisbon, Louisiana. He completed his B.S. degree from Louisiana Tech University in 1963 and received his Master's Degree from Northwestern State University of Louisiana in 1965.

In 1969, John accepted a position as the Head of the Microbiology Laboratory with the San Antonio Chest Hospital. He was employed at the hospital for 29 years until his retirement in 1998. John volunteered with C.O.P., Volunteers in Policing V.I.P., the Airport Police and SAPD Cadet Training.

He is survived by his son, Jon R. Koch and wife Jessica; grandsons, Jonathan R. Koch and Michael A. Suggs; brother, James N. Koch; sister, Susan Koch Landry and husband Brian; and nephews, Michael and Thomas Landry.
