John Kuykendall

John Kuykendall, 68, of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, formerly of San Antonio, Texas, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 16, 2014. He was born on October 10, 1945 in Austin, Texas, to Elwell (John) and Georgia Kuykendall.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John & Georgia Kuykendall. John was active for most of his life. He had a passion for golf, baseball, and fishing. He was on the golf course several days a week. He played for numerous baseball teams as a young boy; Little league, Colt league and Babe Ruth league. He was always picked ALL STAR. John also loved socializing, especially to the tunes of country and western music.

He is survived by his son, Brett Kuykendall and his wife, Lynn and three grandchildren, Lee, Ashley and Caden, two siblings, Shirley and her husband, Calvin Blanchard, Chris and her husband, Ray Korzekwa; nephew, Jake Nichols and his wife, Beverley; niece, Carol and her husband, Wayne Cure; and his significant other, Colleen Clayton.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 23, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel.
