
John Jason Lucey was born in Great Falls, Montana to John A. and Ching Jou Lucey (nee) Wong on July 21, 1976. A graduate of Taft High School, in 1994. Jason served in the Persian Gulf War as a proud and patriotic veteran of the United States Navy. Where his military service reflected his immense dedication to his Country; coupled with ingrained sense of duty and loyal camaraderie with others forging qualities that remained throughout his life.
A devout Christian, Jason lived strong in Faith and Trust of His Savior; often sharing his Faith and vast knowledge of the Scripture with any in need and seeking Christ.
Jason is survived by parents, John A. and Kim Lucey; his mother Ching Jou Wong. His beloved siblings, Marie Martinez, Cherie Garcia (Tim Liste), and Sandra Uresti, Ricardo Uresti and Michael Lucey; nieces Elizette and Giselle Uresti; nephews Eric and Jason Martinez, Austin, Adrian, Aaron Garcia and Caleb Strasimirofski.
Jason’s presence will be deeply missed by his family and many friends. May his memory bring lasting comfort to those who love him dearly.
Committal Service will be held at 11:15 AM on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with Pastor H. Kim of Han Ma Eum Baptist Church officiating.
Arrangements are by Sunset Northwest Funeral Home.
