He was born on April 6, 1951, in San Antonio, Texas. A pilot for many years, he owned his own aviation company. He was a member of the Confederate Air Force.
He was deeply devoted to his mother and siblings. John was kind, sharing and always thought of others.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John M. Luther and Virginia M. McDaniel.
He is survived by his brother, Richard McDaniel of Bulverde; sister, Sharon McDaniel of New Mexico; many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles; and numerous dear friends.
Rev. Stephen Coker will officiate. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice,
