My condolences to your family John...Salute to you with a Lone Star beer, the only beer you would drink. You were always a good friend and always will be...every time I drive near your house I think of you. Years have passed since you left this earth but I still remember our friendship and the good times we would have at your house always filled with friends, joy and laughter.

We would talk for quite a while, which I think other customers would get annoyed at us. But you know John, he would not allow a good conversation be cut short.... I loved every moment of our talks and will truly miss seeing him. I believe he is enjoying the Banquet with our Lord and is just waiting for his loved ones to come.'

'John was my first friend and neighbor when I moved to San Antonio in '76; a friendship of 35 yrs. Soft spoken, kind hearted, always a smile. Many acquaintances professionally and many friends that came and went; those that he quietly helped and mostly kept to himself about. He enjoyed visiting his family in Wimberly. Sometimes he would call me on his way there or on his way home ... I couldn't reach him all week; I knew something was wrong ... My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends. He always shared our joy in bringing a new child in to the world and saw them as a blessing not just an additional deduction!. John?s wit and wisdom saw us from the inception of our business, the building of our business and just a year ago our retirement and closing of our business. He spoke of retirement himself, of moving out into the country and having no ?paper trail.? We grew up and old together? We had just recently told John that he knew us better than we know ourselves. He was a kind and wonderful man and we will miss him greatly. We thank you John for all your care, wisdom and wit.
