J.R.will always be remembered for his kind heart and generous spirit as he was a person of integrity who always put others before himself. He was a man of his word. J.R. loved spending his weekends going for short drives, griiling on the pit and being with family.
He loved working on his property and his many vehicles and many times you would find him hand feeding the deer and his numerous chickens. He loved animals, going to the Floresville High School football games, the UTSA football games and was an avid Denver Broncos fan. He also was a San Antonio Spurs fan.
J.R. loved working in the family business Greatlands Excavation, for over 25 years. He loved being part of developing a new subdivision and you would often see him out at job sites operating heavy machinery, but his true passion was driving his dump truck. He considered the people that he worked with as his work family. He was always there to lend a helping hand or give advice to anyone who needed it.
May his life be an example for us all that kindness and compassion are the most important virtues one can have. May he rest in peace knowing he left this world a better place than when he entered it.
