John Edward Peña, age 51 of San Antonio, Texas, suddenly passed away on July 10, 2026 in Houston, Texas. His passing leaves a tremendous void in the hearts of all who know and love him.
John was preceded in death by his grandmother, Rosaura Garcia; his uncle Everett “Flaco” Guerrero; and his aunt Dora “Bonnie” Galindo.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Christina Salcido; his stepson Gabriel Caldera; his beloved mother Rosie V. Peña; his father Johnny Joe Peña, his brother Charles E. Peña and wife Jessica Peña; his sister Melanie R. Luna and husband Juan V. Luna Jr.
He also leaves behind nieces and great nieces; nephews and great nephews; cousins, aunts, uncles, extended family members and many dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.
John was a man who found joy in the simple things in life. He loved spending time barbecuing for family and friends, working on cars, riding his bike, and enjoying his RC cars. In his younger years, he proudly coached his niece and nephews Little League baseball team alongside his brother, helping teach not only the game but also teamwork, sportsmanship, and dedication.
John will be remembered for his generous heart, his willingness to lend a helping hand, his sense of humor, and the love he shared with those around him. The memories he created with his family and friends will continue to bring comfort and smiles for years to come.
Though he is no longer with us in body, John's spirit will live on through the love he gave, the lives he touched, and the countless memories shared by those who knew him.
He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
