John M. Raney age 88, of San Antonio, died Saturday, November 24, 2012. He was born on August 28, 1924 in Lewistown, Montana to David and Hazel Raney.
Mr. Raney served his country for 20 years in the Navy, Air Force and Army during World War II, in the South Pacific, and Vietnam. He worked for 20 years until retirement at the San Antonio State Hospital as a Psychiatric Nurse.
Mr. Raney was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Doris Raney; daughters, Kathleen Frazier and husband Norbert, and Cheryl Martinez and husband Louis; son, Mark Raney and wife Dana; 9 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. The family would like to thank David, his family, and the hospice nurses for all their love and care given to John.
