

John William Reynolds, age 91, passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, in San Antonio, Texas. Born on June 20, 1930, in Detroit, Michigan to Lucille and Paul Reynolds, Sr., he was known by his friends and family as Jack. Jack graduated from Peabody high school and attended Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. He is a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the United States Air Force from 1951 to 1954, when he was honorably discharged and awarded several medals. Jack next joined General Motors and toured with their Parade of Progress, a traveling show of scientific and engineering (then) futuristic marvels. People, stories, and laughter, three of Jack’s passions, led him to a career in sales. After retiring, he worked as an associate for Porter Loring.
Jack married Delda R. Hahn on June 24, 1956. They honored that commitment for 65 beautiful years. Together they raised three children: Stephen P. Reynolds, Charlotte “Elaine” Hunn and Laurie L. Luttrell. Every Sunday after church, Jack would take his children water skiing in the lakes or boating in the bay. He loved being on the water.
He was preceded in death by, his parents. Jack is survived by his wife and children; and his brother Paul E. Reynolds, Jr. and his wife, Diana, of Maui, Hawaii. He has seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
