It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of John Salvadore on August 18, 2021, at the age of 59. He was born at an Air Force Hospital in Savannah, Georgia to Catherine Joan Mahon and John Julian Salvadore Jr. As a military dependent, John grew up in Alaska, Texas, Virginia and Washington, D.C.
John visited San Antonio and quickly relocated after falling in love with the Alamo City. Shortly thereafter, he fell in love once again with his future life partner Jo Ann. They married in 1995 and during their 26 years of marriage together they raised their only child, also named John.
John was convivial, bold, vigorous, and had strong family ties. Deeply devoted to his family, he was an exceedingly proud father who delighted in all aspects of his son’s pursuits. John knew no strangers; everyone he met was his friend. He was always eager to strike up a conversation or to lend a helping hand. John was diligent in his work ethic both in his career and at home and poured his heart into everything he did.
He will be reunited in heaven with his mother, Joan. John will forever be remembered by his loving wife, JoAnn; son, John; father, Jack (Meg); siblings, Nicole (Paul), Kevin (Joy), and Kerry (Brad); adult nephews Parker (Sydney) and Mason, and other nieces, nephews. John will be missed by many, but not forgotten.
The family will receive friend from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, August 30, 2021 at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
