John Lester Sharp

John was a graduate of Waltrip High School, The University of Texas, and The University of Texas Graduate School of Business. He was in private practice as a CPA, and the CFO of the San Antonio Missions.

John was a member of the San Antonio Chapter of CPA's where he served as a board member and president, The Texas Society of CPA's and was also a former board member, Texas Ex's, & Oak Hills Country Club. John served as an officer in the Navy from 1967-1972.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Lois Simonton Sharp and his half brother, Aubrey Sharp. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Sharp; stepson, Paul Burton of Santa Cruz, California; half sister, Kelna; brothers, Calvin Sharp of San Marcos and Billy Sharp of Crockett, Texas; sisters, Margaret Basquette of Abilene, Texas, and Mary Leverett of New Braunfels, Texas; sister-in-law, Jayne Hoover of Savannah, Georgia; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
