Father John served in Episcopal parishes in Luling, Corpus Christi, and San Antonio for 38 years. A graduate of Hartwick College in New York, he received his Masters in Divinity at Berkeley School of Divinity in New Haven, Conn.
He is survived by Lora, his wife of 53 years; brother, Norman Thompson; children, Rosalind Hervey and husband, Lance Elliott, Heather Shade and husband, David, Kim Zamenski, all of San Antonio, Bill Thompson and wife, Cheryl of Irving, and John Thompson and wife, Susan of Round Rock; grandchildren Catherine, Kassie, Justin, Heather, Gregory, Bryon, Hannah, Will, Jack and Drew.
