John Archibald Wheaton died Saturday, March 24, 2007 at the Forum at Lincoln Heights. He was born Oct. 27, 1909 in Las Cruces, New Mexico, the son of Catarino Armijo and Julia Archibald Wheaton.
Mr. Wheaton retired from civil service at Kelly Air force Base. He was a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason. His late wife, Lucile Kavanaugh Wheaton, died Mar. 19, 2005.
He is survived by his daughters, Ms. Marilyn Howland and Ms. Katherine Wheaton of San Antonio; sister, Sara Wheaton Weiss and her husband, Richard of Newport, Rhode Island; and nephew, Richard W. Weiss of Twin Lakes, Wisconsin.
