A Memorial Service for Johnnie P Segura has been reserved for Saturday, March 11, 2023 at Sunset NW Funeral Home at 6321 Bandera Rd (at Leon Valley) San Antonio TX 78250. Visitation with family and friends will be 6-7pm, Memorial Service at 7pm along with blessings of his ashes, and an intimate reception with the family to follow after the services in the chapel. Johnnie and I were married for 42 years. We had two sons, Johnnie Jr and Anthony Segura. Johnnie graduated from South San High School in 1969, where he was an avid trumpet player in the marching band. He graduated from St Mary's University in 1974 with a major in Political Science and a minor in Spanish. We began dating in 1974, which he attended my high school graduation from John Marshall High School, and I attended his college graduation that same year. He enjoyed playing sports, basketball, baseball, bowling, golf, tennis, and volleyball. He also was very competitive in tossing of horse-shoes. He mostly enjoyed and loved listening and dancing to Tejano music 🎶!
Johnnie is preceded in death by his mother and father, Felix and Adeliada Segura, and also his nephew, Felix Segura III, and a young nephew, Michael Montes De Oca. He is survived by his brother Felix Segura Jr and his sister Sylvia Montes De Oca. Johnnie leaves behind many other family members who live here nearby, Beeville, Karnes City, Corpus Christie, and the Houston areas. May God continue to bless his eternal life with peace and rest.
