He is survived by his wife, Mary, of 45 years, four days short of 46 years; two adult daughters, Veronica Gonzalez, and Osiris Lowery, of San Antonio; son in law, John Lowery; 4 grandchildren, sister Rachel (Gary) Dowd; brother, Servando ( Maggie) Gutierrez; brothers in law Lupe Morales, Joe (Gloria) Morales, Ray Morales, Isidro (Mary Ann) Morales, Salvador Santilln; sister in law JD ( Alfonso ) Macas; numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, friends, and family in Christ.
Johnny went to Sunset School of Preaching in Lubbock, graduating in 1982. He preached in Tulia, Conroe, McKinney, Palestine, and Edinburg. He was a member at MacArthur Park Church of Christ, San Antonio.
Johnny loved to preach and teach the way of salvation. Many came to repentance and baptism for their forgiveness of sins being added by Christ to His church.
