

Johnny Karlsen of San Antonio, Texas passed away on Monday October 7th, 2024. He was born on November 26th, 1977, in Stavanger Norway to parents; Jan and Ruth Foss Karlsen. Johnny came to Texas at the age of 19 to start a new journey. He then shortly after started working with Takata, giving them 20+ years.
Johnny Karlsen, a beloved member of his family and community, passed away, leaving behind cherished memories of a life well-lived. Born with a sense of adventure, Johnny moved to Texas at the age of 19 to begin a new chapter in his life. He soon found a place with Takata, where he worked diligently for over 20 years, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues for his dedication and work ethic.
Outside of work, Johnny loved video games, especially Stellaris, and could often be found immersed in the game after a long day. His fascination with the cosmos was a guiding light in his life, and he enjoyed stargazing through his telescope, finding peace and wonder in the night sky. Whether he was out for a walk or spending quiet moments observing the stars, Johnny appreciated the simple joys of life.
Johnny’s warmth, curiosity, and dedication will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. His legacy of kindness and passion for the things he loved will continue to inspire those who carry his memory forward.
Johnny will be reunited in heaven with his father; Jan Anker Karlsen, and his beloved fur babies.
Johnny's memory will forever live in the hearts of his loving wife; Rachel Limon, his boys; Justin and Christian, his granddaughter; Kayla and Grandpa or as he called him 'Papis'. He is survived by his mother; Foss and siblings; Rune (Elizabeth), Frank, Roger, Roy (Teresa), and Silje (Gunnar).
