His love of learning was never at a loss while he traveled the world during his 23 years in the Air Force, including serving in Vietnam, the Philippines, Turkey, Germany, Alaska, Hawaii and Greece, where Jonathan met the love of his life, his wife, Marianthe.
His commitment to hard work continued after his travels, and throughout the rest of his life, as he dedicated 35 years to the City of San Antonio.
Jonathan was a humble man who devoted his heart and soul to his religion and to his family. He was an avid reader and one of the most knowledgeable men you could ever meet (he knew something about everything!), but his greatest passion was cooking, especially his famous bar-b-que.
Never taking life for granted, Jonathan always saw the positive side of each person and situation and helped people every opportunity he had.
He will be remembered for the warm, caring, insightful man he was, who cherished every moment of life and lived it to the fullest.
Jonathan was preceded in death by his parents, October Lincoln Glover, Sr. and Bessie Graves Glover; brothers, John Anthony Glover, October Lincoln Glover, Jr., Brownwell Glover and Michael Glover; and sisters, Betty Dean Jones and Elma Lorene Zeon.
Jonathan is survived by his beautiful wife, Marianthe Maggioros Glover; sons, Gregory Thunderbird Maggioros Glover and David Glover; daughters, Constance Glover and Elisha Glover; sister, Josephine Randle and her husband MJ; sister, Essie Mae Graves and her husband, Daniel; sister, Johnetta Brown; brother-in-law, Panaghiotis Maggioros, his wife, Thalia and their daughter, Aggelena (she was crazy about Uncle Joe!); grandsons, Tristan Knight Maggioros Glover and Jason Glover; many nieces and nephews; as well as numerous extended family members and friends throughout the world. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 2nd from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Porter Loring on McCullough.
