Jonelle Scott was called home on August 24, 2017, in San Antonio, Texas. She was born in Bronte, Texas on December 30, 1933, and lived there until her marriage to Bill Scott. She spent her entire life in Texas and New Mexico.
Jonelle lived many years in Alamogordo, N.M. where she worked two full time jobs, one in the title business and the other serving as hostess at the Holiday Inn. She was admired by many for her work ethic and dedication to teaching her daughters the importance of hard work. After retirement, she helped others by serving as a Senior Companion to the elderly who were homebound. Eight years ago she moved to be near her daughters and back home to Texas. Mom loved to go for a drive in the hill country and wander through antique shops.
She is survived by two daughters, Billie Scott and Glenda Scott, both of San Antonio, and was preceded in death by a third daughter, Linda Miller of Alamogordo, N.M. She is also survived by two grandsons and their families: Scott (Stephanie and Bridgett) of Tularosa, N.M. and Robert (Brieanna, Bryce, Landon, and Alexis) of Manhattan, Kansas. Her little dog, Emmy Lou, was her faithful and constant companion.
Her faith in Heavenly Father was strong and she relied on him daily. Even though she will be sorely missed, there is great comfort in knowing she is home with her Savior.
Jonelle loved dogs, as does her entire family. Therefore, the family has requested that in lieu of cards and flowers, donations be made to the link below for Tracy’s Dogs in honor of their Mother and Grandmother.

If Roses Grow In Heaven
If roses grow in heaven
Lord, please pick a bunch for me,
Place them in my mother’s arms
And tell her they’re from me.
Tell her I love her and miss her,
And when she turns to smile,
Place a kiss upon her cheek
And hold her for a while.
Because remembering her is easy,
I do it every day,
But there’s an ache within my heart
That will never go away.
