Jordan Lee Funk

Jordan Lee Funk, 21, passed away on Friday, August 2, 2013. Jordan graduated from Claudia Taylor Johnson High School in 2011. He was a member of the swim team. He was currently attending Northeast Lakeview College. Jordan practiced martial arts for many years at the U.S. Taekwondo Center. He was a black belt under the instruction of Master Tai Nguyen. Jordan enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was a kind and gentle person and was loved by all that knew him. Jordan had a deep faith in God, loved music and animals. He is survived by his parents, Doug and Michelle Funk; sister, Allie Funk; grandparents, Colonel (Ret.) John C. and Helen Funk, Gilbert Gerlich and his wife Helen Gerlich, Margie Shields; aunts and uncles, Jeff and Julie Funk, Scott and Michele Funk, Tim Funk, Cheryl Funk, Keith Funk, John Funk, Gerald Gerlich, Kelly Gerlich, James Gerlich, Kimberly Gerlich, Kevin Gerlich; cousins, Thomas and Katie Funk, Nick and Lindsey Funk, Seth Funk, Adrian, Danielle and Charles Flores, Chris and Gabe Coronado, Cheryl, Christie and Keith Funk, Trey, Grace and Morgan Gerlich, Joseph Dickens, Adrianna Bisping and Alexander Gerlich. The Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at 9:00 A.M. at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church, 1602 Thousand Oaks Dr. The interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
