He is preceded in death by his father, Juan Antonio Hurtado Valdez.
He is survived by his mother, Carmen Hernandez; beloved wife Elizabeth Hurtado; children Jorge Hurtado, Gustavo Hurtado and Jittzel Hurtado; grandchildren, Xitlally, Xymena and Xadriel and his siblings Juan, Javier, Jose, Jesus, Bertha, Andrea and Blanca.
He was of strong character with a hint of soft side that only his family saw, a perfect balance, very hardworking man that loved spending time with his family and taking care of them. Being a handyman and knowing a little bit of everything was his passion, there was no task he would not take head on and would figure it out as he went along, quick to lend a helping hand to his family and others that needed it proving his unwavering dedication to his family. He loved working with his hands turning wrenches on cars and a bit of carpentry making decorations for his wife and daughter. He loved passing down the knowledge he learned throughout his years to his children not only on the technical side but in life itself, to always push to be the best at what you do and do not shy away from life’s challenges which shape you into who you are today. His greatest pride was his grandchildren; he cherished every moment spent with them making them laugh and passing down the kind memories and lessons that last a lifetime. He was not only a grandfather, father, brother and friend he was someone they looked up to.
