Jorge Solorzano

Born on December 23, 1956, in Guatemala City, Guatemala to parents Jose and Maria Solorzano, Jorge was a man of deep faith and even deeper love. At the age of 17 he felt God’s call on his life, and he followed it wholeheartedly. His wisdom, compassion, and humility touched countless lives. His teachings came from the heart, his prayers were full of power, his joy was genuine, and his door was always open to anyone in need. He didn’t just preach the Gospel—he lived it, but as much as he loved the church, his heart was always at home. Jorge was the devoted husband of Blanqui L. Solorzano for 45 years—a marriage built on faith, laughter, prayer, and unshakable partnership. Together, since they married on September 6th in New Orleans, La. they worked to build a home filled with love, music, warmth, and grace.

He was a proud and loving father and a constant source of strength, wisdom, and gentle encouragement. Whether it was late-night talks, family dinners, school events, or quiet walks, he poured his heart into being present for his children and later, his grandchildren, who lovingly called him “Papa".

Jorge never missed a chance to say, “I love you,” to offer a listening ear, or to speak life into those around him. He taught his family how to live with joy, integrity, to love without condition, and to trust God in all things. His greatest legacy is not just in the pulpit—but in the hearts of those who loved him most.

He is survived by his wife, Blanqui L. Solorzano; his children, Deborah Jones Solorzano (husband James) and Jorge Alberto Solorzano (wife Sarina); and his grandchildren, Violet, Judah, Malachi; beloved sisters, Maria Solorzano Carrillo and Mayra Solorzano.

A service celebrating Pastor Jorge Solorzano’s life and faith will be held on October 25, 2025, at 10:00 am, at Porter Loring Mortuary North. All who knew and loved him are welcome to attend and share in remembering a life so beautifully lived.
