

Officer Jose Antonio Buso Sr., age 58, known as “Tony” to friends and family passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2020 in San Antonio, Texas. Born on March 2, 1962 in San Antonio to parents Jesus Torres and Cruz Pina Buso.
He proudly served the San Antonio community as an Alamo Colleges Police Officer since 2012. Prior, he served as a deputy in the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office. He was retired from the San Antonio Water System, a career he began with the company at age 18.
At 15 years old, he met his childhood sweetheart and they married 3 years later. He was a devoted loving father who quietly sacrificed to ensure his children succeed in all their endeavors.
As a young man he entertained crowds with his talent, charisma, and showmanship on local baseball fields. He was a home run hitter and won numerous trophies and awards.
Jose brought love, joy and laughter to all he met. He would light up a room and turn stranger into friends within minutes. He was deeply loved by many and will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Cruz P. Buso; and his brother, Jesus Buso Jr. Jose is survived by his wife, Teresa Morales Buso; his children, Petra Buso Garcia (Ezekiel), Jessica Buso Guerrero (Alejandro), Jose A Buso Jr., Ricky Buso (Brittany) and Thomas Buso (Jasmin); his grandchildren, Alexis Guerrero, Ariana Guerrero, Natalie Garcia, Emma Garcia Alanya Buso, Ryan Buso, Lily Buso, Jacob Buso and Isabella; his father, Jesus Buso; his sisters Cruz Garcia (Jesus) and Teresa Palomo; and his brothers; Alfred Buso and Joe Buso. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm, on Monday, October 12, 2020, at Porter Loring Mortuary.
