He is preceded in death by his parents, J. Carmen and Francisca Cruz; brothers, Benjamin Cruz Campa and Alfredo Campa.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria Cruz; son, Joe Daniel Cruz; grandchildren, Eli Daniel Cruz, Jaelynn Danielle Cruz and Zailey Angel Sandoval; siblings, Teresa Cruz Campa, Melecio Cruz Campa, Crecencio Cruz Campa, Cecilia Nunez, Maria De Jesus Cruz Campa and Maria Jesus Martinez.

The Visitation will be held Monday, January 16, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, Texas 78237 followed by a Rosary on Monday, January 16, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. The Procession will depart from the funeral home on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of the Resurrection at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 617 S. Santa Rosa Blvd., San Antonio, Texas 78204. Interment will follow in San Fernando Cemetery III, 1735 Cupples Road, San Antonio, Texas 78226.
