Jose E. Gonzales Sr.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Pablo Gonzales and Cipriana Rodriguez, sister and brother.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years together, Mercy Gonzales; children, Micheal, Debbie, Jose, Genevieve, Joseph & 8 grandchildren.

He retired from the San Antonio Water System. He was lovingly known by friends and family plus his grandchildren as DJ Cowboy Joe. His hobbies included dancing, DJ, going to Kickapoo Casino, Mission Flea Market plus the other flea markets and fixing computers. His favorite football team was the Dallas Cowboys. Joe was a very good handyman. The Gonzales family has many good memories that can never be taken away.

A visitation for Jose will be held Thursday, December 23, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Rd, San Antonio, Texas 78211, followed by a rosary service at 7:00 PM.

The Gonzales family would like to thank Dr. Kella, Dr. Fisher, Dr. Gurram and the South Texas Renal Care Group for their care and support.
