He was preceded in death by, his parents, brother, Victor Manuel Gonzalez and sister, Juana Gonzalez. Jose is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Bertha A. Gonzalez; children, Veronica Rubi Gonzalez, Juan M. Gonzalez, and Holanda M. Gonzalez and her husband, Jorge A. Valdez-Meza; grandson, Alejandro Coronado; granddaughter, Celeste Rivera Gonzalez; siblings; Maria Gonzalez, Ignacia Gonzalez, Jose Gonzalez, Herminia Gonzalez, Evangelina Williams, Leticia Madrid, and Macrina Gonzalez.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., followed by a rosary at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at Porter Loring Mortuary, 1101 McCullough Avenue, 78212.

A Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, May 30, 2025, at 11:30 a.m., at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, 1710 Clower Street, 78201.

Interment will follow at San Fernando Cemetery II, 746 Castroville Road, 78237.
