Jose J. Guerrero

Jose J. Guerrero was called to heaven on May 18th, 2017 after 66 wonderful years of life. Jose was a devoted father, loving husband, and playful grandpa. He was a welder and successful business owner for over 40 years. Jose always had a joking spirit and loved to play fight. He instilled a strong work ethic and love of family in each of his children. Jose always said, “Reir te, no tes llorando,” to laugh and not cry and that is how he lived his life, always with a smile and a joke. He is survived by his wife Dora, daughters Jeanette and Judy, sons Jesse and James, daughter-in-laws Tina and Teresa, grandchildren Jessalynn, John Anthony, Terrance, Sabrina, Melina, and brothers Antonio and Fransisco. Visitation will begin at 6pm on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at Sunset Northwest Funeral home (6321 Bandera Rd, San Antonio, TX 78238) with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Resurrection will be at San Juan De Los Lagos (3231 El Paso St., San Antonio, TX 78207) at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 26, 2017, interment to follow at San Fernando II Cemetery at 746 Castroville Rd, San Antonio, TX 78237.
