Jose "Joe" Daniel Jara

He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Rita Gould and Juanita McDonald. Joe is survived by his loving wife of thirty-nine years, Nina Jara; son, Christopher Jara; daughter, Nicole Jara; as well as brothers Lino Jara, Tom Jara (Sue); and his sister Antonia (Toney) Jara.

Joe served his country in the Army as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division. He recently retired with 40 years at Baptist Health Systems having worked many positions over the years at several of the Baptist hospitals around San Antonio. He is a beloved and cherished husband, father, coworker and friend and will be greatly missed by all.

The family will receive friends and family on Tuesday January 17, 2023, from 2pm to 4pm at Porter Loring Mortuary, with Services beginning at 4pm.
