Jose Arnoldo Munoz, age 66, passed away in the comfort of his own home on Saturday, January 30, 2021 in San Antonio. Joe was born in Laredo, TX on August 8, 1954. He is preceded in death by his parents Jose A. Munoz Sr. and Graciela Munoz. He is survived by his beautiful wife and soulmate, Stephanie Munoz; his two children Marisa Munoz Jasso and Jose A Munoz III; two grandchildren Lilly Grace Jasso and Sophie Jo Munoz; three sisters Cindy Mcquatters, Patty Mccoy, and Sandy Padilla; two brothers David Munoz and Jay Munoz; son in law Joaquin Jasso and daughter in law Ruth Rosales as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Joe grew up with five siblings and spent many years in Panama throughout his childhood. He graduated from Balboa High School in Panama in 1972. He pursued a career as a salesman in the building product industry for right around 43 years. Joe greatly valued his customers and colleagues. Up until his last days, many of his colleagues reached out to him expressing how much his superb service was greatly missed.
Joe married Stephanie Munoz on August 31, 1996. They have been happily married for a little over 24 years. Stephanie, an angel on earth, was by Joe’s side until his last day. She devoted her life to be his caretaker throughout his battle with ALS. Throughout this battle both of their strength and tenacity persevered along with their faith in God.
One of Jose’s biggest accomplishments was being a father. His love showed no boundaries when it came to his kids. His children thought of their dad as a superhero and even as adults they still see him that way. He was always there for them through their ups and downs, and taught them to enjoy every moment life has to offer.
Joe was an avid golfer and loved to spend his Sundays on the golf course with his brothers and friends. He took pride not only in his appearance but also in his love for his vehicles. Joe loved his classic rock, country music, and specifically George Strait. He will be greatly missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
