Jose was born on September 14, 1952, to Ruperto and Concha Verastique, who preceded him in death. He lived a life defined by hard work, devotion to family, and a generous spirit that touched all who knew him.
For 51 wonderful years, Jose shared a loving marriage with his devoted wife, Maria Ana Verastique. Together they built a strong and loving family that remained the center of his life. He was a proud father to one son and two daughters, and he treasured every moment spent with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Jose found joy in life's simple pleasures. He loved fishing and hunting, spending countless hours outdoors enjoying nature. He had a passion for music and could often be found playing his guitar. A skilled and resourceful man, Jose enjoyed working on and repairing his vehicles, always willing to lend a helping hand when something needed fixing. He also loved playing pool and sharing laughter and stories with family and friends.
Jose will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his wife, Maria Ana Verastique; his children; Joseph Verastique, Connie V. Mandujano (Ernesto Jr.) and Elizabeth Verastique, his brothers, Ruperto A. Verastique and Alfred C. Verastique; his grandchildren, Julian Moreno, Shaila Moreno, and Aleena Verastique; and his great-grandchildren, Anneli Moreno and Oliver Moreno. His love, guidance, and presence will remain forever in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him.
Though he is no longer with us, Jose's legacy of love, dedication, and strength will live on through the family he cherished so deeply. His memory will be carried forward in every story shared, every song played, and every gathering of loved ones.
"Those we love never truly leave us. They live on in the memories we cherish, the lessons they taught us, and the love they gave so freely."
