Joseph Anthony Cantu

Joseph Anthony Cantu age 43 of Lake Hills, TX passed away on Tuesday February 18, 2025. Joseph was a man who lived life to the fullest, driven by a passion for many things that brought joy to those around him. A talented artist at heart, Joseph had a deep love for painting cars, often transforming them into beautiful, unique creations. His workshop was a place where his hands worked magic, turning tools and parts into pieces of art. When he wasn’t painting or tinkering with his tools, he could be found with a book in hand, always eager to learn something new. His sense of humor was infectious; he had an uncanny ability to tell jokes that would make anyone smile and lighten the mood. A fan of online gambling, he enjoyed the thrill of the game, but his greatest joy came from helping others. Whether it was lending a hand or offering advice, Joseph always put others before himself. He was a true friend, always ready to share a laugh, a story, or a helping hand. Above all, Joseph was a proud father, finding immense pride and joy in his children. They were his world, and he was their unwavering supporter and guide. He will be dearly missed by his children, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of laughter, love, and the joy he found in the simple things in life will forever be cherished.

He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Olivia Carrillo.

Joseph is survived by his parents, John and Diana Redington, sons, Elijah Cantu, Alec Cantu, daughter Ariyah Cantu, brother, Eric Cantu, grandfather, Henry Carrillo Sr.,nieces Penelope Autumn Cantu and Dorothy Leah Cantu. Also, numerous, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A visitation for Joseph will be held Monday, March 3, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Rd, San Antonio, TX 78211 with a prayer service at 7:00 PM. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Rd, San Antonio, TX 78211 with interment to follow at San Jose Burial Park, 8235 Mission Rd, San Antonio, TX 78214.
