Joseph "Joe" Gonzales

Joe was born to parents Jose and Petra Gonzales in San Antonio, Texas. He grew up in a home across the Oblates and attended Mount Sacred Heart. Joe was a dedicated father, and grandfather. He was a hardworking individual, all-around mechanic that worked on race cars, hot rods and anyone else's car that needed fixing. Joe's favorite pastimes were Sunday family barbeques and gatherings, having cold ones, swap meets, and singing his faves at the karaoke bars. His hobbies included building motors, racing cars, and fixing any broken pieces you brought to him. He enjoyed spending time with his Mijos, Girls, and was very proud of his grandkids.

Joe is survived by his children Joseph "Joey" Gonzales (Christine), Stephanie Hoffman (Guillermo), April Hastings (James), Jen Tyson (John) and James Gonzales. Grandchildren Jojo, Noah, Sophia, Kenna, Lilli, Andrea, Sterling, Raedyn, and Orin. He also leaves behind his siblings, brother Robert Gonzales (Stella), sister Henrietta Raney (Ernie), numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.

Joe is preceded in death by his parents, brother Antonio and sister Victoria.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, September 16th at 1:00 PM located at Sunset Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Hwy, San Antonio, Texas 78218.
