Joseph Ryan Graves

Joseph R. Graves was born on November 22, 1932 in Fort Worth, Texas to Joseph and Marjorie Graves and he entered into eternal rest on November 10, 2010 at the age of 77. Joseph honorably served in the United States Navy is a veteran of the Korean War. After his time in the service he studied at North Texas State University. He held several different high tech jobs in the aerospace industry and he retired in San Antonio. He spent his time playing golf and fishing in the Gulf of Mexico. Joseph was a foodie, and preferred the Tex Mex foods of Texas, especially hot peppers. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Ruth Graves; mother of his children, Jean Graves; children, Samuel Graves, Teresa Baker, Benjamin Graves, Shari Lynn Graves, Michael Graves, and Matthew Graves. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 18, 2010 at Cook Walden Funeral Home, 6100 N. Lamar, Austin, TX. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 19, 2010 at Sunset North Funeral Home, 910 N. Loop 1604 E., San Antonio, TX. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park with military honors.
