

Joseph F. Guajardo, 75, passed away on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, in San Antonio, Texas. Joseph is survived by his wife of 57 years, Yolanda R. Guajardo; sons, Joseph Guajardo Jr. and Roger Guajardo (Nora); daughter, Tara Lynn Guajardo; grandchildren, Justin A. Ramos (Sophia), Randi R. Robles, Felicia N. Guajardo, Roger Guajardo Jr., Raquel R. Salazar (Joseph), Brandon R. Guajardo, and Miranda R. Guajardo; great- grandchildren, Leeah, Justin Bear, Audrina Renee, Isabella Robin, LeeAnn, and JoLee; brother, David Guajardo (Vicky); sister, Dolores Garza; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Francisco Guajardo and Maria Loera Guajardo.
Joseph will be remembered for his work ethic, sense of humor, and his love for traveling, while always dressing to impress. He was a generous, loyal friend, and a jokester. He loved traveling to numerous destinations with family, especially Las Vegas. He also loved helping others. Joseph was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 7108, where he served as Jr. Vice Commander for two years. He also volunteered countless hours at the post. All throughout his life he loved staying active until his health did not allow him to be.
Family was most important to him. If his family needed anything, he was always there ready to help. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. On weekends, he loved to enjoy meals with them and take long drives.
He was a Vietnam Veteran having served his country in the United States Army. After serving his country, he transitioned to civil service, where he retired from Brooks Air Force Base after 30 years. Joseph was also a member of the Texas National Guard having retired after 26 years.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at Porter Loring Mortuary West.
