

After graduating from Polytechnic High School in 1965, he served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. On his return, he became a 3rd generation graduate of the University of Texas, where he received his Engineering degree. His work for G.E. took him all over the world inspecting and building power plants until his retirement in 2010.
It was on a flight to Oklahoma that he fell in love with his beautiful seat mate, Helen, and they were blessed with 30 years of making memories. Together they made their homes in Georgia and Arizona, before returning to Texas in 2015.
As a lifetime member of the Harley Owners Group, Helen and Mike traveled 49 states, Canada and Mexico on their motorcycles. Mike was also a lifetime fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, University of Texas Longhorns, and Nascar.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gene and his dog, Bristol. Mike is survived by his wife of 29 years, Helen; sons, Bryan and Nick of Waco; step-son, John Brentlinger and wife Buffy of Greeley, CO; daughter-in-law, Jodie Johnson of Lewisville, TX.; dogs, Sabaakax and Dawson; 9 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers-in-law, 2 sisters-in law; nephews & nieces, great nephews & nieces; a large Arizona motorcycle community; and many friends & neighbors.
A "drive way" memorial service will be held in the near future.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution can be made to your charity of choice in his memory.
