Joseph Anthony Mazzella, age 79 of San Antonio passed away on Tuesday, October 12, 2010. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Christian Alexander Mazzella. He is survived by his children, Regina Lynn Dugger, Joseph Michael Mazzella, Lisa Ann Stephenson, Brooke Alexandra Mazzella and Andrea Fawn Mazzella; grandchildren, Christopher Anthony Mazzella, Jarrod Damon Dugger, Bradley Michael Mazzella and Jennifer Lynn Dugger; Sister Jessie Mattera; Brother, Vincent Mazzella; former spouse and friend Patricia Mazzella; many nieces and nephews; and an infinite number of friends.
Born in Brooklyn, NY to Aniello Mazzella and Regina Mazza on September 29, 1931, he served in the United States Air Force for over 20 years retiring as a TSgt., and is a retired Supervisor from the United States Postal Service. Never meeting a stranger, he generously helped and dearly loved all he came in contact with. He was a talented cook, artist, joke and story teller, an avid hunter and fisherman and traveled many many miles to spend time with his family and friends.
