

He led a full and happy life. He was born within sight of Yankee Stadium in New York City. He graduated from Stevens Institute of Technology. His master’s degree was from Princeton, and his Ph.D. in physics was from Columbia. He loved his profession as a research scientist. He was invited to give lectures all over the world.
Joe had a passion for world travel. He also enjoyed playing poker and bridge, and he adored his dogs.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Adelaide and Joseph Zuclich. Joe is survived by his wife, Carol; sister, Gloria Buchner; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Sherry and Joe Kassai; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Tracey and Paul Homburg; niece, Sarah Campbell; and nephew, Tim Freeman.
He will be remembered by his close friends, Marge and Dick Bolt, Ernie Sessums; and his caregiver, Danny Contra.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at Porter Loring Mortuary North, with a Memorial Service to follow at 11 a.m.
