She was a devoted mother and grandmother whose family was the center of her world. She loved them deeply and unconditionally, and that love will live on through the generations she leaves behind.
Josephine shared 50 beautiful years of marriage with her beloved late husband, Domingo Ponce. Her family finds great comfort in knowing they are together once again. A woman of Christian faith, Josephine has now entered her eternal rest.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Matilde and Esteban Trevino; her husband, Domingo Ponce; and her daughter, Dorothy Chavez (Eloi).
Her memory will be forever treasured by those she leaves behind: her children, Efrain Ponce (Rose Marie), George Ponce (Pat), Patricia Carroll, Sandra Ponce, Betty Carrillo (Estevan), Lisa Garcia (Andrew), and Aaron Ponce; her sister, Vicki Rodriguez; her 12 grandchildren; and her 19 great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with the funeral service immediately following from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Both will take place at Porter Loring Mortuary West, 1710 Loop 1604 North, San Antonio, TX 78253.
