She was preceded in death by her parents, Nick and Elvira Herrera; and sisters, Tillie Gonzales and Esther Garcia.
She is survived by her husband Adam; daughter, Yvonne Siber and husband Samuel, all of San Antonio; son, Michael Rodriguez and wife Toni of Houston; grandsons, Christopher and Jason Siber of San Antonio; granddaughter, Sarah Rodriguez; grandson, Matthew Rodriguez, both of Houston; brother, Nick Herrera and wife Nancy; sisters, Rosemarie Armenta and husband Carlos, all of San Antonio, Sue Gill of Houston, Margie Mueller and husband Foster, and Faye Ovalle and husband Celso, all of California; numerous nieces and nephews.
Josephine was a charter member of VFW Auxiliary Post 9186, then a lifetime member of VFW Auxiliary Post 8936.
Rosary was held on Thursday, March 11, 2004 at St. Helena's Catholic Church.
